Questions & Answers
Have a Question?
-
What zone is this plant?
Thrives in zones 7–11.
-
are these gumpo azalea's?
No, Autumn Sunburst azaleas are not the same as Gumpo azaleas.
Autumn Sunburst is an Encore® azalea variety, known for its reblooming ability throughout spring, summer, and fall. It produces light pink flowers with darker pink and white variegation and reaches a height of around 2.5 to 3 feet.
Gumpo azaleas, on the other hand, are part of the Satsuki azalea group and typically bloom only in late spring to early summer, with a compact growth of about 1 to 2 feet tall. They have white or pink blooms but are not repeat bloomers like Encore varieties.
Both are compact, but the key difference is reblooming ability and growth habit.
