-

The Soft Caress Mahonia does not multiply.

My mahonias are brown after our 0degree weather for one night. Will they come back? The inner stem is green.
If the inner stems of your Mahonias are still green, there’s a good chance that they will recover from the 0-degree weather. While the outer leaves may have been damaged or browned by the cold, the green stems indicate that the plant is still alive.
To help your Mahonias recover, you can:
- Wait until spring to assess the damage more clearly and avoid pruning during the winter.
- Prune dead leaves or damaged areas once the weather warms up and new growth begins to appear.
- Ensure proper watering and care as the plant recovers.
As long as the roots and inner structure remain healthy, Mahonias are resilient and should bounce back.
