Soft Caress Mahonia™
Soft Caress Mahonia™
Considered a dwarf plant due to its maximum size of 3 feet tall and 3-4 feet wide, the Soft Caress Mahonia makes a great border plant or simple specimen planted on its own for its beauty and simple elegance. Requiring regular weekly watering when young with less needed as it grows becoming drought tolerant once established, as long as the Soft Caress Mahonia is planted in full to partial shade and in moist, well-drained soil it will grow quite well. This amazing evergreen shrub produces lovely lemon-yellow flowers on top of long, thin, bamboo-like foliage in early Winter followed by large clusters of silver-blue berries in the Spring so the colors and style is truly endless from the beginning of the year to its end. Prune young plants in early Spring to help it grow more dense then prune only as needed to shape it perfectly for your landscaping display.
